UAB transfer forward Evan Chatman is set to visit Baylor today. He has also heard from Georgia Tech, Tulsa, UC Santa Barbara, Tulane, Saint Mary’s, Seton Hall, Syracuse and USC per Brandon Jenkins.
The Harker Heights product averaged 8.8 points and 8.8 rebounds while playing 29 minutes per game. He shot 27.5% from beyond the arc and 68.6% from the charity stripe as he helped lead the Blazers to a 20-12 record.
Chatman led the team with 281 rebounds (10th in UAB history, 38th in the nation) and was second on the team with 26 blocks.
The 6-foot-8, 220-pounder spent two seasons at McLennan Community College, where he averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks during his second year there. He shot 34.1% from deep on four attempts per game and 83% from the free-throw line.
Chatman is rated as the No. 281 overall transfer portal prospect, according to 247 Sports.
