Been sporting the USA Soccer WC Jersey here in Bangkok. With all the expats from everywhere, the WC is a big deal. I don't get American TV here, but have an Irish Pub a few doors down that shows every match, regardless of time. As Depeche Mode would say..."people are people" Have friend from Italy and she is half Argentinian, so she goin nuts

If things go the way some are projecting I think our chances to make it out of the round of 32 could be good. Some predictions show us having to play Bosnia which is a realistic chance of a win.
Round of 16 or 8 would do wonders for USA Soccer. USA competing with the top would be great. Ultimate would be an 1980 moment on home turf. USA team finally developing a style and not being star-centric helps too

Fun watching all these folks have a blast ... am honestly shocked so many can come over and spend weeks here ... kind of crappy for fans the way FIFA does the schedule: seems like it would be better it would do like the NCAA and have one group / location so fans did not have to travel domestically for games.

Many over there get 6 weeks vacation. Usually August is thr shut down month, wonder if it shifted with world cup.

Freddy gets it. I love when I backroad through rural S Carolina through the pee dee and the Francis Marion national forest. I need to backroad all through Georgia down to the Orange beach, AL. In the next month I'm gonna be burning up the road between SC, FL and Bama. Going to work in Myrtle Beach next week then down to Orlando with my daugher then back to CHS then to Jacksonville for work then back home to pack up and head ot the beach in Orange Beach, AL. I love summer road tripping through the south.
