Yes, I am a big World Cup fan. My wife and I follow Germany, as I love their style of play and my wife is of German descent. I put it on the same level as the Olympics. Love seeing the different styles. This World Cup I am loving Japan they are fun to watch.

As for USA, of course I root for them. But, realistically they have little shot at getting out of the round of 32.

The way it is playing out, you are right. It would be a disappointment if USA lost in Round of 32 with the current teams that we may play.

I think we have a 20% chance maybe to make the Elite Eight, which would be amazing.

The likely result is making Round of 16, which would be successful.


Stars aligning for run to 8.

Bosnia in Round of 32 should be win, they are best case.

Belgium in Round of 16 looks like worst case scenario. That gets us to the Round of 8. From there, lucky bounce??

a lot more convenient than Thailand and I don't get Mercan TV. However the good ole Irish Pub a few doors down shows every match regardless of time. I'm generally with a German, French guy,, Canadian, Italian lady who is half Argentine. Kinda fun with all the expats from everywhere eating it all up. US really putting their best foot forward. The largest expat population is Japanese . Man, they are great. Blew me away they cleaned up Jerryworld after their match. Has been interesting learning about different cultures here. Japanese, Korean are the biggest expat population followed by Westerners .

This just shows how deranged many on the left have become that they will attack a foreigner because they love the US. I wonder if they would have done it if it was a fan of a non European team….. as in non white…..

I think most of the criticism he received was from Germans. I'm a big concerned about the reception he will receive when he gets home. Will he be arrested for his earlier post online? To me it looked benign but the Leftists are whiny snowflakes easily offended and they are bullies who will persecute anyone who offends them. And that persecution can be extreme. Some of our Leftists have already advocated mass murder and concentration camps. Modern fascists are certainly capable of doing such things.

They would go to places that would sell alcohol as soon as the law allowed to have some beer after work. On most Air Force bases the Rod and Gun Club would be open for breakfast with a full bar available. If you've worked a 12 hour shift on the maintenance flightline from 7pm to 7am, no one is going to begrudge a maintenance troop or security police cop from having a brew. It does look a little weird when they are drinking a beer with eating cereal and milk. Which I've seen LOL!

This was common in northeast around 24/7 operations. Grandfather was rail in PA, there were a lot in western PA with steel and rail.
