Baylor baseball has collected a commitment from Texas State right-handed pitcher Keller Eberly, becoming the second transfer portal addition of the offseason, joining Winthrop’s ace, Brayden Gilley.

Eberly appeared in 12 games for the Bobcats this spring, with a 5.73 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and .311 batting average against across 11 innings. He pitched an inning against Baylor on May 5 and surrendered two hits and two runs. Eberly also saw time on the mound in the NCAA Tournament against Texas A&M (0.1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, SO) and USC (IP, 2 H, ER, 0 BB, 0 SO).

Upon transferring to Texas State, the 6-foot-6, 233-pounder did not pitch in 2025 due to injury and made just three appearances out of the bullpen in 2024, posting a 5.40 ERA in just 3.1 innings of work.

The Maitland, Fla, native began his career at the College of Central Florida and made 24 appearances out of the bullpen, going 6-0 with a 4.20 ERA across 45 frames. He punched out 60 batters while issuing 28 walks.

Baylor’s set to return pitchers Zack Wallace (So.) and Mason Green (Jr.), who will be coming back from injury, while losing Ethan Calder (Sr.) to graduation and potentially Lucas Davenport (RJr.) to the MLB Draft.
