Baylor Hosts Yale Standout Forward Isaac Celiscar on Key Transfer Visit
Yale transfer forward Isaac Celiscar is visiting Baylor today, according to Basketball Insider’s Adam Zagoria. Celiscar has also garnered interest from Kentucky, Minnesota, Texas A&M and DePaul.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pounder averaged 13.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game across 31 starts this season, while earning Second-Team All-Ivy honors. He shot 57% from the field, 41% from beyond the arc on limited attempts and 80% from the from the free-throw line.
Celiscar closed out his sophomore season on a heater, pouring in 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting while adding 12 rebounds and five assists in a narrow 68–67 NIT loss to UNC Wilmington.
In the Ivy League Tournament, he led the Bulldogs with 27 points in a semifinal victory over Cornell, then posted 17 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in an overtime defeat to Penn in the championship game.
As a true freshman, the Winter Haven, Florida, native played in all 30 contests and averaged 7.1 points and 5.0 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game. In the First Round of the NCAA Tournament, Celiscar chipped in 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting in an 80-71 loss to Texas A&M.
Celiscar is listed as the No. 102 overall transfer and No. 14 small forward by 247 Sports; he will have two years of eligibility remaining.
