Three months ago in Colombia, I met a number of displaced Venezuelans, Every one of them corroborated the last sentence above.

We are feeding Venezuala out of their oil profits. I heard that we were sending them grain from American farms, helping out our people at the same time they are getting bread

That's the same thing that Trump has proposed with Iran. Use their own frozen funds to purchase grain from farms in the USA to send to them, rather than the money
Venezuelans are struggling to feed themselves due to an inflationary spike from dollarization. I also smell a U.S. bailout of Venezuela and PDVSA debt in order for the announced restructure to work. Hopefully this earthquake doesn't set back their already crumbling infrastructure too far, nor further exacerbate their domestic food and fuel challenges.

Federal authorities have arrested Abdikerm Eidleh, an alleged key figure in the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud scheme. Prosecutors say he helped run fake food sites and vendors that stole millions in pandemic child nutrition funds, adding that his capture shows fleeing overseas will not prevent prosecution.

When Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick met with Kazakhstan's president at the St. Regis Hotel last September in New York, President Trump jumped in by phone as the men sealed a deal on a top priority for Washington.

During the call, Mr. Trump and his team won an agreement from the Kazakh leader to give a little-known American company access to one of the world's largest untapped reserves of tungsten, a metal that the United States desperately needs for the production of missile warheads, fighter jets, computer chips and other critical goods.

Ahead of the deal, the Trump administration approved preliminary applications for as much as $1.6 billion in federal financing for the American company, now called Kaz Resources, which plans to break ground on the project in rural Kazakhstan.

It was not only Mr. Trump and Mr. Lutnick who saw an opportunity.

Their sons were soon doing business with partners in a deal that their fathers were negotiating, continuing a pattern of self-enrichment in the second Trump administration that has few precedents in American history.

Yes they are often overpriced but I don't see that alone as a reason to break them up. Just a stupid take by her, as usual.

No based on what is going on you are going to see Democratic Socialist win. The greater the wealth gap the more you are going to hear Socialism. Trump is bringing on what you this Board despises, Socialism. I am seeing more and more people identify themselves as Democratic Socialist at Public Meetings, never saw that 10 years ago. May be able to protect Senate, but not House, Mayors and possibly Governor.

Paris's deputy mayor is a moron. The U.S. has nothing to do with the weather in Europe. The climate hoax has been debunked with genuine science repeatedly for years. Even if industrial pollution explains climate patterns (it does not), China & India pollute more than the U.S.

Obama:

It is possible for me to be a great admirer of George Washington and also acknowledge he was a slaveholder. And that does not negate his greatness.

That simply acknowledges that there is a profound, deep flaw in these Founding Fathers, who were also geniuses and gave us these tools.

Which is true of all of us, right? It's true of every president. We're this mixed bag.

We've got contradictions and embody the country's contradictions.
