Agreed. We can play and execute with middle of the road teams but not against higher caliber teams.

I don't think that's it at all. I think that there's some strategy in putting Bennett in there. The starter next year will almost certainly be one of White/Griffin. However, if you jump the gun this year and declare an heir apparent in the pecking order, one of them might enter the portal instead of waiting for the spring to actually compete and win the job

Hopefully it means White may have been good, but Bennett was really good! Guess he will be the guy to beat and the measuring stick for the staff to determine if they also need to go to the portal for an existing starter somewhere to give Bennett additional competition.

No notes -- other than obvious frustration that we didn't see that level of urgency, effort or execution until after we were 4-4 and everyone had given up hope.

Could be, I guess. But seems like by him not seeing the field for even 1 play this year, you encourage White to re-enter the transfer portal at the end of the year. He's already used his redshirt so this is basically a wasted year from a career standpoint.

Or maybe he's really good, and they want to redshirt him for more years of eligibility, or they don't want to show too much of him so that other teams won't poach him. At least I hope.

My ten things if I can think if ten things:


Good win. But so consistently inconsistent.

We beat the spread!

Tenacious D today.

Arandalytics still a concern.

BU success seems to be based entirely on great catches.

Fieldspan matters.

UCF seven game losing streak on the road. Travel matters.

Run game is so unreliable when we need to grind it out. Maybe we need a new OL coach?

Takeaways are nice when they go our way.

Kickers and punters may actually need to shower after the game.
